German Impact Investing Survey 2025

The Bundesverband Impact Investing (BVII) has published the German Impact Investing Survey 2025. Advanced Impact Research GmbH (AIR) supported the survey in the areas of data collection, data analysis, and report drafting. The study provides deep insights into the current state of development, practical implementation, and existing challenges of German impact investors.

The majority of participating respondents have a positive outlook and plan to further expand their impact Assets under Management (AUM). At the same time, the survey highlights that conceptual uncertainty regarding the definition of impact investing, combined with a lack of standardization in Impact Measurement & Management (IMM), remains one of the largest entry barriers for non-impact investors.
